Rachel is a seasoned leader and a dynamic force in the world of project finance and global strategy, with over two decades of experience shaping the infrastructure and energy landscape. Her leadership has driven the successful delivery of over $7 billion (USD) worth of pioneering and award-winning projects, enabling economic growth and promoting sustainable access to electricity and ICT services in emerging markets.
Rachel’s journey began at AES Corporation, where she played a critical role in developing vital electricity generation, transmission, and distribution assets across various regions. Her expertise led her to work with multilateral agencies at the Inter-American Development Bank and the International Finance Corporation, followed by senior positions at Rand Merchant Bank and TotalEnergies, focusing on sustainable energy and infrastructure.
Passionate about Africa’s socio-economic development and committed to building a self-sufficient and thriving continent, Rachel actively contributes to its development as an angel investor and director of several boards.
Rachel holds an MBA from Darden, University of Virginia and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Senior Executive Program Africa.
