Offong holds both Bsc and Msc degrees in Economics from the Universities of Lagos and Ibadan respectively. With a career spanning over 25years in banking, he has occupied senior management positions at different times including Managing Director Ecobank Liberia, Executive Director United Bank for Africa (UBA), Chairman, Allstates Trust Bank, Managing Director Ecobank Nigeria, Managing Director Ecobank Capital and Executive Director Ecobank Transnational.
He was also Group Chief Executive, Old Mutual West Africa during which time he established Old Mutual in Nigeria and Ghana. He has retired from Old Mutual and continues to serve on its boards in Nigeria and Ghana as a non-executive director. He also sits on the boards of UTC Nigeria Plc and ARM-Harith Infrastructure Investment Limited and Apricot Investment Ltd as a non-executive director.
Offong is currently the Chief executive of Marine Network Ltd; an Oil service company engaged in the provision of offshore support services to the upstream Oil and Gas industry.
