Her leadership has driven the successful delivery of over $7 billion (USD) worth of pioneering and award-winning projects, enabling economic growth and promoting sustainable access to electricity and ICT services in emerging markets.
Rachel’s journey began at AES Corporation, where she played a critical role in developing vital electricity generation, transmission, and distribution assets across various regions. Her expertise led her to work with multilateral agencies at the Inter-American Development Bank and the International Finance Corporation, followed by senior positions at Rand Merchant Bank and TotalEnergies, focusing on sustainable energy and infrastructure.
Passionate about Africa’s socio-economic development and committed to building a self-sufficient and thriving continent, Rachel actively contributes to its development as an angel investor and director of several boards.
Rachel holds an MBA from Darden, University of Virginia and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Senior Executive Program Africa.
